About Sheryl Sisk Schelin
Sheryl Sisk Schelin is a South Carolina licensed attorney and the owner/operator of CMLS. She is admitted to the bar of South Carolina state courts and the federal district court of SC as well.
Ms. Schelin graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1996; while at USC, she won the second-year Moot Court competition’s argument finals before the state Supreme Court, and served on the staff of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal. She also worked as a legal writing teaching assistant for Professor Thomas Haggard.
After graduation, Ms. Schelin began a ten-year tenure with Horry County, the largest county in South Carolina, as a staff attorney with progressively increasing degrees of responsibility. She spent the last three years of her tenure at the County as the sole staff legal counsel for the Department of Airports, which manages three General Aviation airports and the busy commercial facility at Myrtle Beach International Airport. She is a recognized authority in airport law, having served as an instructor at the only national CLE for airport lawyers in 2005.
Ms. Schelin has published several articles and sidebars in various publications, including books from the American Bar Association and the recent Solo By Choice, by Carolyn Elefant.
